The Environmental Law Centre Scotland has a vacancy for a researcher. This is a temporary post for a six months period, starting in May 2010. The post entails carrying out legal research and policy work. In particular, the successful applicant will carry out research and report on the implementation of Aarhus in Scotland and in comparable regimes, and the potential role of environmental courts. The post will also assist with legal research for other projects concerning procedural reform. The post-holder will be carrying out any administrative work related to the research.
A law degree including degree subjects in environmental law, excellent analytical and writing skills, and good information management, IT and communication skills are essential. This is a part-time post (4 days per week) attracting a salary of £18,000 (pro rata) per year. The job is based at our office in Paisley.
