The Environmental Law Centre Scotland Limited is a not for profit law centre specialising in environmental law. It aims to help community groups, individuals and the voluntary sector to protect the environment through understanding and utilising the law by providing advice, advocacy, training, updates and research.

The law centre undertakes research and casework. Current projects for research include access to justice in Scotland and the impact of the Aarhus Convention and an analysis of forthcoming climate change legislation.

The law centre has organised a number of seminars including a comparison of judicial review in Scotland and England.

The law centre also undertakes casework via the legal practice of McCartney & Co. Fees are on a not for profit basis, and if eligible, work can sometimes be done under legal aid grants.
